It is with extreme sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Mr. John Moldowan Sr. of Red Deer, Alberta, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the age of 85 years. John was born on September 13, 1935 in Grayson, Saskatchewan. He spent his early years farming where he met the love of his life, Josefa Schmaus on the family farm. They then moved to Regina, Saskatchewan to start what was the beginning to a wonderful life. John and Josefa were married for fifty-eight glorious years, had three children and three grandchildren. Over the years, John worked for B/A, Gulf Oil then Petro Canada, until eventually starting his own Amsoil distributorship for sixteen years before he retired for good in 2006. John was involved with Knights of Columbus Charity and many other volunteer efforts during his life. John and Josefa also enjoyed travelling throughout Canada, the United States and Germany to see family and friends. Anyone who knew John would say what a friendly and caring person he was. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. John will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Josefa Moldowan; their children, John (Dianne) Moldowan and Andy (Michelle) Moldowan all of Red Deer, and Lisa Moldowan of Gunn, Alberta; grandchildren, Ashley, Savana and Alexander. A Private Interment will be held at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
