It is with deep sorrow and much love, that we mourn the passing of Anne Mary Bechtold. Anne passed away at Innisfail Health Center on January 4, 2022 at the age of 86 years. Anne was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan where she married her husband, Ozzie. Ozzie served with the Canadian Armed Forces and the young couple was deployed to Germany and France where they forged lifelong friendships and Anne grew to enjoy mayo on her French fries!! Anne loved being around people, chatting and laughing. Her wit always put a smile on everyone’s face. She had that rare combination of being industrious and efficient alongside of being friendly and unassuming. In later years, she worked for Costco part time and earned record sales. Companies began requesting her by name to demonstrate their product and customers would bring her little Christmas presents to thank Anne for her kindness. She belonged to that great generation of women who enjoyed serving others. Anne will be lovingly remembered by her son, John (Valerie) of Caronport and children; Benjamin (Melissa), Alexander, Markson and Elisabeth; her son, Gary (Cheri) of Spruce View and children; Chad (Alyssa) and Brittany; her son, Jim of Seattle, Washington and children; Zachary (Jenni) and Jesse; her son, Jerry (Roberta) of Leduc and children; Brianna and Braeleigh; her grandson, Tim (Sarah) and her eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Ozzie in 2009 and her daughter, Karen in 2020. Thank you for being a sweet friend to all of us. Your legacy is more than just a memory – but a Living Presence we will carry with us.
