1933 ~ George Terry ~ 2026 "George will be deeply missed and forever remembered."

We are saddened to announce the passing of George Terry on March 29, 2026. at the age of 92. He passed away peacefully at the Olds Hospital. George was born October 23, 1933, to George and Annie Terry in Warman, Saskatchewan.
George was born into a busy family where he was the youngest of three children. After growing up on a farm near Warman SK, George moved to work on his sisters farm near Central Butte, SK. He later moved north following his sister Ann to work the oil patch in Norman Wells NWT. It was there that George met his wife of 59 years Donna and many lifelong friends.
George and Donna married and settled in Olds, AB where they had 3 sons. While raising and providing for the family, George worked for Hudson’s Bay Oil and Gas which was taken over by 3 other oil companies. He eventually retired with British Petroleum.
George enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, played baseball, curled and golfed. He was active in the community and was a long-term member of the Legion, Elks and Oil Men’s Club.
George is survived by his sons David of Olds, AB, Karl of Airdrie, AB, Jason (Kelly) and their son Jacob of Calgary, AB; brother-in-law Lloyd David of Eastend SK; sister-in-law Mary-Anne David of Medicine Hat, AB; nephew Terry Berger of Central Butte SK.; along with extended family and friends.
George was predeceased by his parents George and Annie; wife Donna; sisters Ann (Rick) of Fernie B.C. and Lou (Paul) of Central Butte, SK.
In keeping with George’s wishes no formal funeral will be held.
George will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
