It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Mrs. Margaret Ethel Dymianiw at the
Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at the age of 92 years. Margaret was
born on August 19, 1930 in Sheho, Saskatchewan to Thomas and Mary Wilson. She lived a full and
happy life as a daughter, sister, wife, mom, grandma, and “GiGi”; a good neighbor and friend to all –
she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was kind and compassionate, loving and caring, and
a devoted Christian…. she has entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior. Growing up in rural
Saskatchewan she met Samuel ‘Sam’ Dymianiw, a handsome teacher in 1948. They raised their children
on the teacherage nearby, and then Yorkton, until moving to Red Deer in 1965. So many people in Red
Deer remember Margaret as the Avon Lady. In 1986, she was recognized as the Rotary Club Citizen of
the Year. She was an amazing cook and always had the best looking garden in the neighborhood.
Margaret never missed a Blue Jays game and was a curling super fan. Margaret will be missed by her
sons, Dale (Jill) of Victoria, British Columbia, and Randy (Connie) of Red Deer; her daughter, Penny of
Red Deer; her grandchildren, Jesse (Jacquie) of Edmonton and Jon (Nicole) of Red Deer; and her
precious great grandchildren, Luca and Vienne, Jules and Jolie who will remember GiGi forever. She
will also be sadly missed by her sister, Mae of Kamloops, British Columbia and numerous family
members and dear friends. Margaret was predeceased by her loving husband, Sam and her seven
siblings. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” A Private Family Graveside will be held at a later date
at the Alto Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta. If desired, Memorial Donations in Margaret’s honor may
