Mrs. Isobelle Emma ‘Jean’ Laing (nee Lamont) passed away peacefully at the Innisfail Health Centre, Innisfail on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the age of 91 years. Jean was born at Didsbury, Alberta on June 2, 1929. Jean worked as an A.G.T Operator, as well as a camp cook; and also was employed at the Bowden Nursery and the Royal Theatre in Innisfail, Alberta. The Laing family moved to the farm in the Innisfail Area, in 1972. As a girl, Jean was raised in town but she quickly became a farm girl at heart. She loved pets and enjoyed showing and riding horses. Jean was involved in all aspects of farming; from taking care of the livestock, to planting and taking off the crops. She enjoyed her flowers and yard; which she took care of up until last fall. Jean took up golfing during retirement, and golfed at several courses in Alberta and British Columbia. Jean will be lovingly remembered by all of her close friends and relatives. Jean was predeceased by her husband, Glen and her son, Tommy.
