She later settled in Drumheller, Alberta, with her first husband, Erwin Hingst, where the two raised their family. Erwin and Arlyne owned and operated ‘Hingst Dinosaur Service’, and shortly after retiring from the family business, Arlyne also ran ‘Dinny’s Convenience Store’. After the passing of Erwin in 2005, Arlyne returned to Drumheller, and reconnected with an old family friend, Alfred Hagel. The two were married in April of 2017 and came to Innisfail, Alberta.
