1925 ~ Thaddeus "Ted" Rokosh ~ 2026 "A Celebration of Life was held at the Olds Royal Canadian Legion #105, 5241 - 46 Street, Olds, Alberta on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m."

Born March 7, 1925, in Ituna, Saskatchewan, and passing on January 27, 2026, in Olds, Alberta, at the age of 100, Ted lived a long, purposeful life shaped by hard work, community service, faith and family. The son of immigrants from Poland and Austria, he was raised on the farm, one of 11 children, met his first wife Julia Moleski at local dances, and served during the war while training as a pilot.
Widowed young, he raised his family with determination, relocating to Red Deer, later marrying Joan Harju and moving to Olds. Ted worked as a Steam Engineer for Amerada Hess as well as running the local One Hour Martinizing. After Joan’s death, and his own retirement, he remained active for decades—golfing, inventing, traveling to Poland and the Vatican, and giving his time generously to friends, family and community. Independent and sharp to the end, he often said, “The first 100 years were the BEST.” True to his nature, he passed away peacefully in his sleep, after a brief battle with cancer.
