Mrs. Betty Clark, beloved wife of the late Mr. Milton Clark, passed away in Edmonton, Alberta on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the age of 98 years. Betty was born on September 29, 1925 in Yorkshire, England. She joined her twin brothers, Jack and Joe as the youngest of three children. At the age of eighteen during World War II, she joined the British Land Army. She met Canadian Private Milton Clark during his posting in England as an Aircraft Electrician, and they married on July 17, 1945. Following the war, Betty came to Canada as a war bride, and settled on the prairies near Stettler, Alberta, on the family farm. In 1965, the family moved to Coronation, Alberta, where Milton ran a welding and blacksmithing shop. The family grew to include five children. Milton and Betty became active members in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and were involved in many church activities. In her later years, Betty lived with family in New Hazelton, British Columbia, Delia, Alberta and Sherwood Park, Alberta. Betty enjoyed many activities including family camping trips, all manner of crafts but especially quilting, and visiting the Senior’s Drop-In-Centre for floor curling and time with friends. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her oldest daughter, Kloudie (James), and her two sons, Ted (Linda) and Pat (Rita), as well as their families. Betty and Milton have nine grandsons, and numerous great grandchildren and their families who also mourn her passing. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Milton in December 2007, her daughter, Terry (Darrell) and her youngest daughter, Sandy (Steve).
