Rocky Mountain House by-election scheduled for May

The Town of Rocky Mountain House will be holding a by-election on Friday, May 3rd to fill the councillor position left vacant by Scott Collinson’s resignation.

Civic Solutions Incorporated will oversee the administration of the by-election process. Council has appointed Cathy Findlay of Civic Solutions as Returning Officer, with Lavinia Henderson as Presiding Deputy Returning Officer.

The Town of Rocky Mountain House has provided a timeline for the nominations and voting process.

On March 5th, nomination packages will be available for pick-up at the Town office.

On March 22nd nominations will be accepted until noon at the Town Office and online at www.rockymtnhouse.com

On April 25th advance voting is to take place at the Christenson Sports and Wellness Centre Subway Room.

On May 3rd voting will take place at the Christenson Ports and Wellness Centre Subway Room.

Institutional votes will take place at Westview Lodge, Good Samaritan Clearwater Centre, Columbus Place, Park Avenue and the Rocky Hospital.

Institutional voting times will be at the discretion of the Returning Officer.
