Innisfail and Lacombe to battle for ACHW league title

The Innisfail Eagles and Lacombe Generals will battle for the Allan Cup Hockey West league title starting this weekend.

Game one of the best of five series goes Saturday, Feb. 23 at 7:45 p.m. at the Gary Moe Auto Group Sportsplex in Lacombe. Game two goes Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.

The series shifts to Innisfail for game three on Friday, March 1 at 8:30 p.m.

Game four (if necessary) is slated for Saturday, March 2 in Innisfail at 8:30. Game five would be in Lacombe on Sunday, March 3 at 6 p.m.

Lacombe won the regular season series between the two clubs four games to two, with one of their victories coming in a shootout.
