City Mounties seek failed ATM thieves

Oct 15, 2018 | 11:52 AM

Red Deer RCMP are investigating an unsuccessful attempt to steal an ATM after a truck drove through the doors of the Eastview IGA early Sunday morning.

Shortly before 5 a.m. on October 14, Mounties responded to the grocery store located at 38 Street and 40 Avenue after a white Dodge truck had reversed through the front doors. Once inside, two male suspects wearing hoods and face coverings attempted to steal the ATM but were not successful. The truck sustained significant damage to its back end and was seen fleeing eastbound on 39 Street.

Police continue to investigate and are asking for public assistance to identify the suspects, one of whom was caught on camera (pictured).

Anyone with information is asked to contact Red Deer RCMP at 403-343-5575, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or report it online at P3Tips.com. If your information leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward up to $2,000.
