PERSON LOSES $2,000 IN CRA SCAM, MAN ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY

Drayton Valley RCMP say on July 12 at 12:13 p.m. on 43A Street a complainant reported receiving a call from the CRA advising there was a warrant for arrest unless they paid them $2000 in iTunes cards.  The public is reminded that the CRA will not contact you by phone and will not accept payment in iTunes cards.  

At 2:08 p.m. on  43 Avenue members were on patrol when they observed a vehicle parked in a suspicious location.  Queries showed vehicle stolen from Evansburg.  Occupant, 25-year-old Sawyer Solomon was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property.  

MULTIPLE LEASE SITES BROKEN INTO, PERSON ATTACKS VOLKSWAGEN WITH A BASEBALL BALL

On July 13 at 10:17 a.m. in Tomahawk a report came in of a complainant responding to an employment ad on Indeed .ca.  Company purporting to be Gold Fox Ltd., provided SIN number.  Complainant has been defrauded of $2790 by purchasing bitcoins.  

Just after 11:02 a.m. at Wal Mart a report came in of a female stealing a basket full of meat, walked out of the store and got into a grey 4 door vehicle.  Suspect vehicle is silver car, older model with a black horizontal strip down the drivers side and black gas tank.  Video surveillance is available. 

At 1:30 p.m. in Brazeau County  SINOPEC reported someone broke into lease site and stole ground cable. 

At 1:30 p.m. in Brazeau County a report of someone entering an oil lease site and broke into outbuilding stealing a large computer printer. 

Just before 2 p.m. in Brazeau County Obsidian Energy reported  someone broke into their locked supply and storage yard and stole items from various locked sheds on property.  

At 11:11 p.m. on 53 Avenue  a report came in of a person attacking their blue 2002 Volkswagen with a baseball bat. 

TRUCK, GARAGE BROKEN INTO

On July 16 at 9:38 a.m. on 43 Street a complainant reported someone entered their truck sometime over night.  Stolen items include Fluke brand meters, dewalt drill and sawsall, Viking drill index and dewalt chargers and batteries.  

Just after 11:30 a.m. in Brazeau County VISBAR advised that someone broke the lock on the gate and entered the lease site, cable stolen. 

At 12:20 p.m. on 44 Street a report came in of a break and enter to a garage, description provided of suspect.  Members attended.  Suspect located, arrested and charged. 

THEFT OF TRUCK, LEASE SITE BROKEN INTO

On July 17 at 6:21 a.m. at Service Plus Inns  a complainant reported the theft of a 2014 Ford F150, Silver/gray in colour.  Glass on ground.  

At 8:30 a.m. in Brazeau County West Brick Energy reported theft of e.f.o.y.  and multiple batteries from lease site.

THEFT OF SIDE BY SIDE TRAILER, MAN ARRESTED AFTER ASSAULT

On July 18 just before 8:30 a.m. at the Ramada Inn a report was recieved of a theft of a green polaris ranger 900 from a trailer parked at the Ramada Inn.  

Just before 830 a.m. in Brazeau County Obsidian Energy reported the theft of two 12 Volt Batteries from lease site.  Battery cables were cut and removed.  

At 2:34 p.m. in Drayton Valley a complainant reported returning a phone call to the CRA, phone number 1-778-733-1262, they provided their name and SIN number, then realized it is a scam.  

At 9:20 p.m. at the Centre Court Trailer Court a report came in of two males causing a disturbance, both intoxicated.  Members attended and located two males fighting, one had an axe. Members arrested one male and there were no injuries.
