Local workers say CP Rail strike was about more than money
It was mere hours after 3,000 workers across the country went on strike that a four-year tentative agreement was reached between Canadian Pacific Railway and the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference.
Prior to the agreement being announced just before noon on Wednesday, rdnewsNOW visited the picket line at the CP’s rail yard in Red Deer to learn more about what workers were seeking in a new deal.
Cody Woodcock and Brandon Myre said the strike was about more than just money, but also things like working conditions and unfair discipline.
