Mr. Kevin Joseph Junior Brezuk passed away In Red Deer, Alberta, on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the age of 36 years. Kevin was born in Calgary, Alberta in 1990. Kevin brought warmth, humor, and connection to everyone in his life. He was a devoted father whose proudest achievements were his children, and his memory will live on through the love and lessons he shared with them. Kevin cherished his family deeply and maintained strong ties to his roots.
Growing up alongside his older sister, who opened his eyes to the world, he learned early on to stand up for what was right and to never hesitate to speak his mind or ask tough questions. His natural mechanical talent started in the driveway working on cars with his father—a skill that grew into a lifetime’s ability to fix absolutely anything. He brought that same drive to his work, progressing from supervising a metal scrapyard to earning all his trade tickets in the harsh, demanding conditions of the oil field.
Behind the wheel was where he felt most alive—driving was a true passion. Brilliantly smart and quick with a joke, his generosity knew no bounds; he would readily give away more than he had if it meant helping someone in need. He loved the simple things—a cold pop, pizza, hot wings, donairs, and a handful of Jolly Ranchers—but nothing compared to the devotion he had for his family. His children were everything to him, and his deep love for them guided everything he did. No matter what obstacles life threw his way, Kevin faced them with strength, grace, and a smile that never faded. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, kindness, and love that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Kevin is survived by his father, Kevin J. Brezuk Sr.; his beloved children, sons Blayze Brezuk and Rylan Wood, and daughter Kylie Wood; their mother Christina Wood; his sister, Coreena Brezuk-Hannah; and brother-in-law, Alan Hannah; nieces, Jessica Brezuk, and Sarah Brezuk along with grand-nephew, Lincoln Brezuk; and nephew, Nicholas Hannah. He will also be fondly remembered and dearly missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and close friends across Alberta and Cape Breton. Kevin was predeceased by his mother, Georgina Brezuk; and his niece, Alicia Hannah.
