We live because Jesus lives.
We breathe because He gives us breath.
We are because, Jesus was, is, and will always be.
In scripture we read in John 15:14, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.”
We also read in scripture that Jesus spoke: “I am the way, the truth and the life, no one can come to the father except through me.” John 14:6.
Intimacy with Christ is ONLY through HIM, and if we co-abide with HIM, he never leaves us, and as the WAY and the LIFE can never leave His presence.
We were all known before time began by Him, and that His sacrifice on the cross at Golgotha was for ALL of us willingly, this level of intimacy is universally staggering!
In Colossians 1:17 we read: “He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”
Not only can we experience intimacy with Jesus spiritually but also physically and visually! Wherever we go, whatever we do, whatever we think and see, all comes from God!
Dan Schutte writes in “Jahweh, I know you are Near.”
“Where can I run from your love? If I climb to the heavens you are there If I fly to the sunrise Or sail beyond the sea Still I’d find you there. “
IN Romans 8:38-39, we read:
“ For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Why? Because He abides with us, in all ways.
For that, I am eternally thankful.
