Brian Henry Hancock of Lacombe, Alberta, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital with family by his side, on September 14, 2026, at the age of 72.
Brian was born in Lacombe, AB, on May 22, 1954. It was there that he lived out his life. It was within Lacombe that he attended all his years of school and made many lifelong friends and memories. He spent many years as a caretaker of a local apartment building; He enjoyed taking care of his tenants and made quite few friends along the way.
Brian enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; especially his sister Shirley, who he had a special bond with. He enjoyed camping and fishing in his earlier years, and loved just being outdoors in general.
Brian’s family would like to extend a special thank you to his long-time neighbour and friend, Shannon, who was a huge support to him.
Brian will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Gertrude and Gilbert Hancock; brothers Bill and Ray Hancock; and by his sisters Shirley Thompson, Lois Morris, and June Hancock.
As per Brian’s wishes, no service is to be held. In lieu of flowers, the family asks instead that memorial donations be made in Brian’s honour to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
