It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert ‘Bob’ Eugene Crowley of Spruce View, Alberta who passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026 at the age of 85 years.

Bob was born on August 3, 1941, in Kenora, Ontario, to William and Oral Crowley. Throughout his life, Bob was known for his helpful nature, witty humour, and love of a good joke. He had a passion for mechanics and all things sports.

Bob will be lovingly remembered by his son, Rob Crowley (Kris Kjorsvik); his grandchildren, Devin Crowley, Becky Crowley (Tyson Stange), and Sydney Braun; and his great-grandchildren, Lennyn Crowley and Kessler Stange. He was predeceased by his wife, Karen Crowley; father William Crowley, his stepfather, Henry Bergh, his mother Oral Bergh; and his brothers, Jim Crowley and Charlie Crowley.

Family and friends will remember Bob for his love of sports. He not only played sports such as broomball and hockey but was also known as “Coach” to many throughout his years of coaching fastball and minor hockey. He was a devoted Calgary Flames fan, and if there was a game on, you could be sure Bob would be watching.

Bob was also well known throughout the community of Spruce View as the local mechanic at B & D Service Ltd. Anyone who knew Bob knew how much he loved helping others. He worked at the local Co-op for many years and was loved by customers and coworkers alike. If you needed help with something, Bob was the guy to call. He took great pride in his home and was especially particular about his lawn. It was always meticulously cared for, and you could count on Bob to make sure it looked just right.

But perhaps nothing made Bob light up quite like his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They held a very special place in his heart, and his love for them was evident to everyone around him.

Bob made a lasting impact on his family, friends, and community. His kindness, humour, willingness to help, and the memories he created with those around him will be cherished for years to come.

Bob will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
