Applications now open to join Red Deer Youth Council

The Red Deer Youth Council is now accepting applications for the 2026-27 term.

The initiative, which is run by SPARC Red Deer, is looking for youth in Grades 9-12 who live or attend school in the community and want to meet new people, gain leadership skills, have a voice in the community, and be part of something meaningful.

Those interested can apply online at redcap.albertahealthservices.ca or by picking up a paper application at any of Red Deer’s four high schools or at the Red Deer Public Library.

Applications will close on Sept. 20, and officials say the commitment is only about two to three meetings per month.
