It is with deep sadness that the family of Gerald “Gerry” Chapin of Cremona, Alberta, announces his passing on Friday, July 24, 2026, at the age of 67 years.

Gerald will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Linda; his son, JR, and daughter-in-law, Shannon; and his cherished granddaughters, Jadyn and Dylin.

He will also be deeply missed by his siblings: sisters Debbie (Darrell) Baranec and Jana Hanna (Lavar) Adams; brothers Lloyd (Susan) Chapin and Jordan Chapin; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A Celebration of Gerald’s Life will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Olds Regional Exhibition Cow Palace Events Centre, located at 5116–54 Street, Olds, Alberta.

In keeping with Gerald’s memory, those wishing to honour his life are invited to make a Memorial Donation to a charity of their choice.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered their kindness, support, and comfort during this difficult time.
