Ronald ‘Ron’ Eugene Pelletier passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at the age of 75 years. Ron was born on January 8, 1951, in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, to Maurice and Lea Pelletier. He grew up on a farm in Victoire, Saskatchewan. Growing up on the farm he had a very strong work ethic and ventured off to Alberta where he had a long and successful career in the oil field. He lived in Red Deer where he raised his family until he retired. He worked hard and he played hard. He enjoyed twenty years of retirement as a snowbird. He spent his summers fishing at his cabin at Buck Lake and he spent his winters in the sun at Black Meadow Landing on Lake Havesau. He will be fondly remembered for his huge smile and his big heart. Ron leaves behind an amazing legacy, including his wife, Brenda Pelletier; his children, Justin (Sally), Marilyn, Laura (Steve), and Eugene (Marci); his grandchildren, Kirk, Kylie, Dominic, Tyera, Skylar, Devyn, and Brandon; and his great granddaughter, Lennyn. He is also survived by several brothers, sister, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Lea; and his two sisters, Estelle Boneau and Carmen Cyr. We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of his friends, family and neighbours for all of your love and support during his journey. Gone Fishing!

A Come and Go Celebration of Ron’s Life will be held at the Parkland Funeral Home Reception Centre, 6287 – 67a Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Ron’s honour may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation at www.heartandstroke.ca.
