Red Deer RCMP issue 175 charges under Traffic Safety Act in July
Red Deer RCMP Traffic Services report that in July they issued 175 charges under the Traffic Safety Act.
As part of on-going efforts to improve road safety, among some of the charges handed out were 46 speeding violations, eight distracted driving infractions, 15 infractions for failing to wear a seatbelt, 77 moving and non-moving vehicle infractions, and 11 intersection infractions.
In addition, three drivers were found to be driving while prohibited or suspended from driving.
Red Deer RCMP Traffic Services also provided public education presentations and partnered with the City of Red Deer Peace Officers in joint operations.
