It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful daughter, sister, and mother, Jessica Southwell, who left us on Monday, July 27, 2026, at just 26 years old.

Jessica is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Layla; her parents, Jackie and Paul Southwell; her sister, Brittney Southwell; and her brother, Mathew (Makayla) Monks-Southwell. She shared cherished bonds with her nieces Ava and Jade Southwell, and is also remembered by her partner Eric York, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.

She was predeceased by her brother, Alexander (Ali) Southwell; her grandparents, Evert and Diny Yzerman; her grandparents, James and Mary Southwell; her Auntie, Jennie Alvarez; and cousin, Nicholas Alvarez.

Jessica was a devoted mother whose gentle, protective love for her daughter touched everyone around her. Her spunky, vibrant personality, warm humor, and willingness to help anyone in need made her unforgettable to all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life for Jessica will be held at Bethany Baptist Church 3901 44 St. Red Deer, AB on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM, after the service there will be a public graveside burial at Alto Reste Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a trust fund for Layla. Contributions can be sent by e-transfer to Brittney at britts112@hotmail.com.
