Mr. Garry George Melville passed away at home on Monday, June 15, 2026, at the age of 71 years, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by the love of his family.

Garry was born in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, on August 12, 1954. After completing his schooling, he began a lifelong career in the oil patch.

Following his retirement from the oilfield, Garry enjoyed spending time outdoors and working on many projects in his shop. He and his wife also cherished cruising in their 1946 International truck with their close friends, John and Kathy Zimmerman.

Garry will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Brenda Melville; his son, Travis Melville, and Mercedes Melville; and his grandchildren, Domino, Ashton, Aiden, and Luna Melville.

He is also survived by his brother, Dale Melville; his sisters, Gail Wilburn and her husband, Mike, and Mary Bieber and her husband, Bruce; his sister-in-law, Shelley Royston and her husband, Clare; his brother-in-law, Randy Kendall; his sister-in-law, Leeann Frayn; and his mother-in-law, Marlene Admussen.

Garry will also be remembered by his nephews, Kent, Jeff, Dawson, and Devon; and his nieces, Kathy, Natasha, Michelle, Desiree, Ashley, and Jen.

Garry was predeceased by his parents, Scotty and Helen Melville; his brother, John Melville; his nephew, John Edward Melville; and his father-in-law, Reg Admussen.

A Celebration of Garry’s life will be held at a later date.
