Blindman Valley Lions launch ‘Barn Quilt Trail’
The Blindman Valley Lions Club has launched a unique new tourist attraction.
The ‘Barn Quilt Trail’ borrows from a rural art form started in 2001 by an Ohio woman.
There are now over 40 states and three provinces with such a trail, and the Lions Club views it as a scavenger hunt for curious folks.
“We wanted to showcase the many special and treasured locations we have out here in central Alberta”, said club member Trudy Rangen. “The barn quilts we have created for these locations are unique to each property.”
