Mr. Thomas Samuel Cooke of Olds, Alberta passed away at the Foothills Hospital Calgary on

Saturday May 9, 2026 at the age of 71 years. Tom was born on June 25, 1954 in Clones,

County Monaghan, Ireland to Jack and Margaret Cooke. In 1974, Tom Immigrated to Canada to

the Calgary area and moved to Olds in 1978. In 1989 Tom started his career with Correctional

Services Canada at the Bowden Institution until his retirement in 2016. Tom was an avid golfer

spending many days outside at the Olds Golf Club as long time member. Tom was introduced to

golf by his dad at the age 10 years. He played junior golf all over the country in Ireland and won

several tournaments. Tom will be remembered for deep love of his family, generosity, hard work

and spending many hours mastering his yard. He’s loving remembered by his wife Corina; his

stepchildren Michael (Laura), Melissa; brother Ronald (Norma), sister Pricilla and his 5

grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by

late spouse Rosalyn. A funeral service was held at the Olds Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 105, 5241 – 46 Street Olds, Alberta on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donation may be made directly to the Wildrose Humane Society Didsbury or to the charity of your choice.
