FAGAN, Valerie ‘Val’ Anne
1954-2026
It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of Valerie ‘Val’ Anne Fagan on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the age of 71 years at the Red Deer Hospice. Valerie was born Thursday, November 4, 1954, in Olds, Alberta, and grew up on the farm East of Olds. She loved the outdoors, riding her horse, pushing her pet hen Penny around the yard in a baby carriage, and jumping in the pig pen and having a ride on the hogs. Val took her schooling in Olds and was very talented when it came to writing assignments. One of Val’s first jobs was a parts woman at Massey Ferguson, which at the time was not a common job for a woman, but her knowledge of farm equipment and parts came from helping her dad on the farm. She became one of the favorite parts people in the country as she had a very outgoing personality. Val left Massey to try other ventures, and her love for cars and trucks took Val into the Auction business. She had a long spanning career selling vehicles and farm equipment all over the country. Valerie’s outgoing personality made getting to know her customer very easy. Val left the auction business and became a property manager and bookkeeper managing 80 doors. Six years ago. Val’s health began to be compromised. She battled every day to reverse the vaccine injury after long battle in excruciating pain. The family would like to thank the Red Deer Hospice for their extraordinary care and compassion. Additional thanks are given to the Red Deer Wound Care for their dedication to Val’s wellness. In lieu of flowers, donations in Val’s honour may be made to the Red Deer Hospice at 99 Arnett Avenue in Red Deer, Alberta, T4R 3R4 or on their website at https://form-renderer-app.donorperfect.io/give/red-deer-hospice-society/main-online-form. Val’s nickname should’ve been Mother Theresa as she always helping others in need and seeing the good in everyone. Val loved life and worked hard and played hard. May you finally rest in peace, and we love you always. Cremations entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
