1955 – 2026

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Hugh McKenna on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at the age of 70 years. It was sudden and unexpected, and he will be missed by many. We are both so grateful for the times we shared and the memories we created together. Hugh had a very long struggle following a fall on April 3, 2025. His journey was difficult during this past year and now he can rest easy. Hugh will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Julie of thirty eight years, and his daughter, Shayla. He will also be deeply missed by his sisters, Maureen (Murray) Newton and Joanne Workman, his brothers, Canice (Olga) McKenna and Jake McKenna, his sister-in-law, Judy McKenna (Des passed away October 2025), and brother-in-law, Rob (Amanda) Harris, as well as many, many friends.
