Julien Germain Aubin of Sundre, Alberta passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at the age of 67 years, leaving behind a legacy of strength, dedication, and deep love for his family.
Born in La Sarre, Quebec, Julien spent his early years rooted in the east before eventually making his way west to Southern Alberta. There, he built a life defined by hard work and resilience, beginning in the mines and later transitioning into a successful career in oilfield safety. His expertise and commitment to his work took him across the world, including time spent working overseas on rigs, where he was known for being exceptionally skilled and respected in his field.
In 2002, Julien met the love of his life, Julie. Together, they built a life centered around family, loyalty, and unwavering support for one another. Julien was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a cherished grandfather who found his greatest joy in the people he loved most.
He is lovingly remembered by his children: Glenn (Nicole), Chad (Kim), Derek, and Mya (Taylor). He was a proud grandfather to Ethan, Austin, Keianna, Peyton, Julien Jr., Lucas, Lincoln, Preston, and Lexie, each of whom brought him immense pride and happiness. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Gaston (Georgina), Ray (Lalonnie), Joe (Mary), Frances (David), Claudette (Mike), Marlene (Terry), as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family and his many friends.
Julien was predeceased by his mother, Réjeanne Grenier; his father, Rolland Aubin; his twin brother, Jules; and his beloved daughter, Alycia.
Outside of work, Julien found peace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved camping, embracing the quiet of the outdoors, his dog, Bear, and had a passion for his motorcycle, where he found both freedom and adventure.
Julien will be remembered for his strength, his work ethic, his adventurous spirit, and above all, the love he had for his family. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the lives he touched and the legacy he leaves behind.
