Ms. Lori Lee Ross (Nee Thomson) passed away at home on April 2, 2026, at the age of 61 years. Lori was born on May 14, 1964, in Ottawa, Ontario to David and Maureen Thomson. She grew up with her brothers Kevin and Carter in Claresholm, Alberta, eventually moving to Penhold to settle down and raise her sons, Troy and Sean Ross.

Lori was a fixture in Penhold, helping with her sons’ sports and community activities. Lori met the love of her life, Kirk Walls, which brought two daughters into her life, Irene and Brittney. They enjoyed their time together especially camping.

Going back to school to be a Licensed Practical Nurse was a dream for her. She found her calling working as a Home Care Nurse. However, becoming a grandma was her greatest happiness, Hayden and Sage were very special to her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and everyone that knew her.

Lori will be lovingly remembered by her spouse; Kirk Walls, her sons; Troy and Sean Ross, her daughters; Irene and Brittney Walls, her brothers; Kevin and Carter Thomson, and grandchildren Hayden and Sage Ross. Lori is predeceased by her parents David and Maureen Thomson. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Penhold Memorial Hall, 1123 Fleming Avenue, Penhold, Alberta  on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 12:00 p.m.
