CORRIGAN, Norman Leonard

November 17, 1934 – April 2, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Norman ‘Norm’ Leonard Corrigan on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at the age of 91 years. Norm was born November 17, 1934, in the Hillsdown District. Norm was part-owner in the Penhold Feed Mill before moving out to the farm east of Red Deer. Norm was well known to everyone in the Valley Center area, a much-loved friend and helper to everyone he met. He loved to curl and was active at the rink well into his 80s. He enjoyed fishing and taking trips in the family motor home. Norm was happy at the farm, spending most days outside up until the very last months of his life, building a garage, fixing a roof, always coming up with new projects. The farm was often the center of activity for the large family, and Norm was happiest surrounded by the kids, grandkids, and great grandkids around a bonfire or packed into the noisy, happy house. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Heather (nee Hay); sons Tim and Tyler (Tennille); daughter Kelly; grandchildren Brett (Nina Little), Brody, Kierra (Evan), Hannah (Andrew), Kaden, Ryan (Candace); great-grandchildren Arthur and Wellsleigh; brother-in-law Harley (Nina Hay); Jesse and Jenna (Brent); and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Marra and the staff at the Innisfail hospital and Red Deer Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion for Norm and the family.
