LOEPPKY, Judith “Judy”
1944 – 2026
Sadly, our beloved and cherished Judy Loeppky passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the age of 81 years. After several years of declining health, she had recently been residing at Taylor View Towers in Red Deer, Alberta.
She was born Judith Arlene Carduner on Saturday, July 1, 1944, in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, to proud parents Peter and Faith Carduner. In 1964, she wed the love of her life, Lee Loeppky. They resided in Swift Current where they began their family and welcomed two children. In 1970 they pulled up roots and moved to Alberta. After a few years in Whitecourt, Judy and Lee moved their family to Red Deer where they settled for good. Here they established a successful oil well operating company, Pact Production Services. Judy was a dedicated partner in both business and family life. Despite her many responsibilities, she always made time for the things she loved—reading, playing cards, camping, and spending time with friends and family. She hosted countless holiday gatherings, creating many treasured memories for those around her. In retirement Judy and Lee travelled extensively in their fifth wheel, later buying a motorhome and spending winters in Mesa, Arizona.
Judy was an inspiration known for her strength of spirit and generous heart. She faced many challenges in life but never faltered. She deeply loved her family and was so proud of her children and grandchildren. A tireless worker, Judy was rarely idle and expressed her creativity through knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching, and gardening, each done to perfection.
Judy will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Lee; her daughter, Sheri (Wes); her son, Michael (Lisa); her five grandchildren, Patrick, Tanner, Riley, Carson, and Madison; and her great-granddaughter, Ella. She is also survived by her brothers, John (Shirley) and Brian (Lyn). She was predeceased by her parents; her sisters, Shirley and Diane; their husbands Eldon and Ted; and nephews Craig and Chris. A Celebration of Life in Judy’s honour will be held at the Eastview Estates Community Hall, 120 Ellenwood Drive, Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
