Peterman and Gallant to compete in 2026 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship

Former Red Deerian Jocelyn Peterman and her husband Brett Gallant will compete in the 2026 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship.

The tournament will officially begin this Saturday at the Cloverdale Curling Club in Surrey, B.C.

Peterman and Gallant will look to knock off the defending champions, Kadriana and Colton Lott. They’re two of 28 teams from across Canada that will compete for the top prize of $20,000 and the right to represent the nation at the 2027 World Mixed Doubles Championship.

Peterman and Gallant most recently represented Canada in mixed doubles curling at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Cortina, Italy. They also placed sixth at the 2025 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Fredericton, NB, last May.

The duo won the 2025 Canadian Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials in December 2025 to earn their spot in the Olympics before the Lott’s won the main national championship in March.

Action at the 2026 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship kicks off on Saturday with draws at 6 and 9 p.m. Pacific time.

The 28 teams are placed into four pools of seven, and each team will play six games within its respective round-robin pool. The final round-robin draw is set for Wednesday, March 25, at 4 p.m.

Officials say the four pool winners will be seeded directly into the playoff quarterfinals, scheduled for March 26 at 7 p.m.

Then, the semifinals will take place on March 27 at 9:30 a.m., followed by the gold-medal game at 1 p.m.

Live streaming of the 2026 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship will be available on Curling Canada’s YouTube channel.
