Red Deer man charged after failing to pull over for speeding
A Red Deer man is under arrest after allegedly refusing to stop for police who were trying to pull him over for speeding.
Police say it was just before 3 p.m. on March 10, when Red Deer RCMP Traffic Services were conducting speed enforcement on 40 Ave. and 52 St. in Red Deer. RCMP arrested a male driver who they say failed to stop for police when they attempted to pull him over.
The vehicle is said to have fled from police and was located a short time later abandoned in the neighbourhood of Eastview.
With assistance from General Duty (GD) and Police Dog Services (PDS), the investigation led to the identification and location of the driver inside a home. Police obtained a warrant to enter a residence, where they located and arrested the suspect.
