City of Red Deer to close outdoor rinks and pond surfaces this Friday

The City of Red Deer announced outdoor rinks and pond surfaces will close for the remainder of the season.

Officials say recent warm temperatures have led to the closure, which will be official as of Friday, March 13.

That day, city staff will remove nets and turn off the lights throughout the day.

In addition, the Ice Oval at Setters Place is also closed for the season.
