Snowfall Warning issued for Red Deer and surrounding area
A Snowfall Warning has been issued for Red Deer and the surrounding area.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm in some locations is expected. Snow is expected to begin late Wednesday night and continue into Thursday.
The Snowfall Warning areas stretch from south of Edson, southeast into southern Saskatchewan, along with many areas in the mountains of west and southwest Alberta.
Meteorologists say local blowing snow is possible from Highway 36 eastwards early Thursday morning but is anticipated to taper off by Thursday evening.
