GLOVER, Harry Frederick

1937 – 2026

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we as a family announce the passing of Harry Frederick Glover on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at the age of 89 years. Born on Tuesday, January 26, 1937, to parents Joshua and Rhoda (nee Baile) Glover, Harry grew up as the youngest child of fourteen in the small community of Hillsdown, located east of Red Deer, Alberta. Harry was predeceased by his thirteen siblings, making him the last survivor of the Glover’s family first generation. He will be deeply missed by his devoted partner of over ten years, Diane Lewis, with whom he shared love, laughter, and life. Harry’s passions in life consisted of family, farming, sports, and giving back to his community. This was evident when Harry farmed with his brother Sam Glover in the Pine Lake area for over forty-five years. At a very young age Harry developed a love for sports like hockey and baseball. As time passed, he dedicated his time and effort to passing on his knowledge of the games to the younger generation. Harry was always seen in the community cheering on the local hockey and baseball teams, along with supporting his nieces and nephews of the four Glover generations. A Celebration of Life in Harry’s honour took place at Parkland Funeral home in Red Deer on Thursday, March 5, 2026, surrounded by close friends and family.
