1941 – 2026

Wilma Nora Gray of Blackfalds, Alberta passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, February 20, 2026 at the age of 84 years. Wilma was born in Rockglen, Saskatchewan on July 22, 1941 to parents Henry and Augusta Anderson. They moved to Calgary, Alberta when Wilma was a child and she lived her life there until November of 2025, then she moved to Blackfalds. She always wanted to be a teacher, but circumstances didn’t allow it. She did get her wish to work in schools and for many years she was the most amazing librarian. Wilma’s biggest asset was the ability to like everyone, no matter their faults. She was the first to make every effort to brighten anyone’s day. Wilma will be lovingly remembered by her husband, William, her son, Todd (Samantha), her daughters, Coral (Lochie) and Noël (Dave), her four grandchildren, Tyler (Erica), Jordan, Chace and Cole, her great granddaughter, Nora, her sister, Arleen, her sisters-in-law, Arlene, Karen, and Donna and brother-in-law, Rob (Lori). She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Augusta, as well as her siblings, Mervyn, Wayne, Vernal, Gordon, Bradley, Faith, Dorothy, and Millie. A Celebration of Wilma’s Life will be held at the HMCS Tecumseh Military Base, 1820 – 24 Street SW, Calgary, Alberta on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 1:30 – 4:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Wilma’s honor may be made towards any cancer organization.
