DeMAN, Debra
March 22, 1955 – February 17, 2026
Debra Marlene DeMan, born March 22, 1955, in Fairview, Alberta, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, in the town of Sylvan Lake, Alberta at the age of 70. Debbie was predeceased by her loving parents, Maxine and Rodney DeMan; her brother, Kenneth DeMan; and her beloved daughter, Serena Kilfoyl, who tragically passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Jay (Taylor and Danick), Justin (Kelsey), and Shayla (Blade); and great-grandchildren Kalliope, Daniel, Emmalynn, Genevieve, Elizabeth, Felix, and Charlie. Debbie is survived by her sister and best friend, Wendy; her brother, Kevin (Marie); her daughter by heart, Day (Kendra, Teeanna); as well as many nieces, nephews, and their families, who all loved her very much.
Debbie was a committed and passionate fan of NASCAR, the Boston Bruins, and Elvis. She cheered loudly and proudly whenever she was watching a race or a game. She also found great joy in camping and spent many summers at her own campsite, where she felt most at peace. Whether surrounded by family, watching a hockey game, or enjoying the outdoors, Debbie embraced the simple pleasures in life. She made a mean potato salad, always had an open door for any family member or friend who needed it, and had a great sense of humour.
She will be remembered for her love of family, her resilience, and the warmth she brought to those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her through her recipes, traditions, and any time we see a unicorn figurine.
A private ceremony will be held at a later date. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed at www.parklandfuneralhome.com
