Preliminary hearing scheduled for Red Deer man accused of sexual assault

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a Red Deer man accused of sexual assault.
Tanner Lee Giesbrecht, 38, is due to find out in Red Deer Court of Justice on Oct. 26, 2026, if his case has enough evidence to go to trial.
He faces counts of sexual interference with a person under the age of 16, and sexual assault.
Red Deer RCMP say they received a complaint in March 2025 of an alleged sexual assault that took place in July 2020.
