United Way unveils results of survey on Project Nexus
United Way Central Alberta has released the results of its community survey on the proposed Project Nexus location.
The organization gathered responses from 185 people experiencing homelessness or housing instability in Red Deer.
United Way conducted the survey to ensure the people who will most likely utilize the shelter had the opportunity to share their thoughts. All of those who took part in the initiative received $25.
“Decisions that directly affect vulnerable people are stronger when informed by lived experience,” said Chelsea O’Donoghue, CEO of United Way Central Alberta. “Gathering that input helps inform discussion; it does not advocate for any specific outcome.”
