SINCLAIR, Eric

1933 ~ 2026

Mr. Eric Malcolm Sinclair passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on Monday, February 2, 2026, at the age of 92 years. Eric was born in London, Ontario, on September 6, 1933. Eric was married for almost 67 years to the love of his life, Eileen, whom he met in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, while he was training as a pilot in the RCAF. He spent eight years in the Air Force before attending the University of Alberta where he obtained his Bachelor of Education. Upon completion, he returned to Red Deer and began a new career as a Math Teacher at Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School and Hunting Hills. He taught for 28 years before retiring. During his 30 years of retirement, he and Eileen enjoyed many international travels.

Eric’s family gave him great joy and he and Eileen raised four children, Ivy (Denis), Scott (Suzanne), Anne and Stuart (Jeannie). He was a proud grandpa to eight grandchildren and three great grandsons. Eric was predeceased by his son, Stuart; and his sister, Virginia.

A Memorial Service was held at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 4929 – 54 Street, Red Deer, on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in honour of Eric may be sent to the St. Luke’s Anglican Church Memorial Fund at https://www.oldchurchrd.com/, or to the Red Deer Hospice Society at https://reddeerhospice.com/.
