STOREY, William ‘Dale’

1949 – 2026

William ‘Dale’ Storey of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 29, 2026. Dale was born on January 18, 1949 to Joyce and William Storey, who predeceased him. Dale was a devoted father and grandfather who found his greatest joy in his family. He had a lifelong love of the outdoors, fishing, and his horses. Dale possessed an extraordinary natural aptitude for chemistry and innovation. Despite having little formal background in the field, he founded Activated Environmental Solutions and patented three chemical products through his own ingenuity and determination. His work reflected rare creativity, persistence, and business acumen, establishing a company and body of work that stand as a testament to his drive and vision. Dale will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Wade (Kara) and Darren (Krystal), his grandchildren, Chase, Joelle, Weston, Kolby and Kennedy as well as numerous family members and dear friends. “The loss is immeasurable, but so is the love left behind.” The family extends sincere gratitude to the Sylvan Lake emergency personnel for their efforts and care. A Celebration of Dale’s Life was held at the Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67A Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, February 9, 2026  at 1:00 p.m. A Private Family Graveside was held immediately following Dale’s Life Celebration.
