Sherri Robynn Courtoreille passed away on January 29, 2026 in Red Deer, Alberta. She is now safe with her Creator and saviour, Jesus Christ. Sherri was born August 4, 1988 in High Prairie, Alberta.
Sherri was light. She was love. She needed only to smile your way, and you felt happy. “Sherri was outrageous, hilarious, caring, loved everyone, found something good in everyone. She was…incredible.”
Sherri lived in Red Deer with her mom and her best puppy friend, Bailey. She and Bailey spent many hours outside, walking in the forested areas. Sherri’s favourite place to be was on the land where she felt most connected to the Creator.
Sherri had a deep passion for rocks and gemstones and felt soul connected to their spirituality. She enjoyed her work in the last few years being on the road crew with Silver Cove Rock and Gem. Lately, Sherri had returned to volunteering at Potter’s Hands Soup Kitchen. Being in the community and helping wherever she could filled her up and she often came home with the best stories about the people she visited with. Sherri made friends easily and people were drawn to her beautiful spirit. She always had a big hug and a kind word for everyone she met and knew.
Sherri will be lovingly remembered by her parents; Lianne Hazell and Thomas (Penny) Courtoreille, and her siblings; Ian Weesmat, Thomas Courtoreille Jr., Collin Mearon, Adrian Robinson, Dean Hartman, Derek Blackman, Cara Toderick, Willis Courtoreille, and Noah Courtoreille. Sherri was predeceased by her brother Darren Mearon, her kokum and mosum, Colin and Elizabeth Courtoreille, her grandfather Thomas Hazell, and her grandmother, Anita Hazell.
Sherri’s life will be honoured and celebrated on Friday, February 13th at 11:00am at Potter’s Hands Church 5202 53 Avenue, Red Deer. A luncheon and fellowship will follow. Everyone is welcome.
