Lacombe’s Rudolph to captain Team East at WHL Prospects Game

Feb 5, 2026 | 4:09 PM

Lacombe’s Daxon Rudolph will captain Team East at the upcoming WHL Prospects Game in Langley, B.C.

Rudolph is a forward with the Prince Albert Raiders, and co-leads the team with 56 points (21G, 35A) in 49 games.

The 6’2″, 202-pound defenceman represented Team CHL at the 2025 CHL USA Prospects Challenge in November.

He was selected first overall in the WHL Prospects Draft by Prince Albert in 2023, and has since put up 97 points in 113 career WHL games.

Joining Rudolph in the leadership group for Team East are Ben MacBeath, a d-man with the Calgary Hitmen, as well as Osoyoos, B.C. twins and Medicine Hat Tigers forwards, Liam and Markus Ruck.

Team West’s leadership group will consist of Carson Carels, a blueliner with the Prince George Cougars, plus JP Hurlbert of the Kamloops Blazers, Ryan Lin of the Vancouver Giants, and Jakub Vanecek with the Tri-City Americans.

The 2026 WHL Prospects Game will serve as the first all-WHL event of its kind since January 19, 2000, when Kelowna hosted the 2000 WHL All-Star Game, in which the Eastern Conference defeated the Western Conference by a score of 10-8 in front of 5,420 fans at Prospera Place.
