SHIELDS, Edward

1938 – 2026

Ed passed peacefully after a journey with Alzheimer disease. He leaves to remember him, wife of 60 years, Carolyn, his children, and grandchildren; Theresa and Kelly, Josh, Alex, Dylan and Emily. Ed and Robin, Michael, John, Sarah, Adam, Matthew, Elizabeth, and Claire. Leon and Sasha, Levi and Oliver, Tasha, Matt and Brody. Ed is also survived by his loving family, sisters Virginia, Eileen and Bernadette, brothers Eugene, Vincent and Gerald and their families as well as brother-in-law Dan and Darlene, nieces, and nephews. Ed taught for 32 years and loved it! (not report cards or staff meetings). He ran the New York marathon twice in his hometown and took slides and photos everywhere he went. We thank the wonderful staff of the West Park Lodge, Red Deer for their loving care of Ed.
