Our beloved father, Robert ‘Bob’ Edward Lee Jackson, passed away peacefully at the Innisfail Health Center, surrounded by members of his family on Tuesday, January 13th, 2026, after a short battle with cancer at the age of 90 years. Bob was born in Hartney, Manitoba on October 28, 1935. His childhood was spent in the Portage la Prairie area where he met and married his first wife, Kathrine Harder. He enlisted in the Canadian Air Force in 1955, serving twenty-five years and later worked for Canada Post for twelve years, where he met his second partner, Lea Anne Doucet. He was known for hosting gatherings with numerous friends and family. He traveled and lived coast to coast while serving in the Military. A man of many talents, Dad enjoyed working on cars and tinkering with electronics. He will be missed dearly and will be forever in our hearts. Bob is survived by his children; Bob Jackson, Karl Jackson, Kathleen (Timon) Murdock, Anthony Jackson, Teresa (Leo) Zieverink, and Sandra (Mark) Meunier; his stepchildren, Robin Bishop, Andrew (Dixie) Lewicki, Jason (Lana) Lewicki, and Joy Lewicki; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; a brother; and numerous family members and dear friends. Bob was predeceased by his partner, Lea Anne Doucet and his five older siblings. A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at a later date, with family and close friends.
