It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Patricia (Pat) Fielden (née

Hodgson) in her 88th year, a beloved wife, sister, mother and nana. Pat passed peacefully in

Olds Hospital at 3:00pm on January 18th, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.

She is survived by her husband Michael Fielden, siblings; Jeff Hodgson, Jean Gibson, and Pauline Stevenson,

her children; Catherine Fielden, Dan Fielden, and Jacqueline Manderson, and her

grandchildren; Ross Fielden, Claudia Manderson, Demi Bonnaventure, and Nicole Manderson.

Pat was born on February 22, 1937 in Wombwell, a small town in South Yorkshire

England to Willie and Catherine Hodgson. She spent part of her early life in the UK, then

relocated to Sheffield Alabama, U.S.A., and then later, Calgary, AB at the age of 19. Pat married

her childhood sweetheart and lifelong partner Michael Fielden on August 2, 1958 in Calgary.

They welcomed, and raised their three children in Calgary before retiring on a small acreage

near Caroline Alberta. In 2018, Pat and Mike relocated to Olds, AB.

Pat was a gifted musician, and loved to play the piano. She had an uncanny ability to

look at any sheet music you put in front of her and play it instantly. She also enjoyed both

sewing and quilting in her later years. Pat will be remembered as an extremely warm, loving and

caring person; her laughter was infectious and abundant and she always provided comfort to

anyone who needed it. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

The family would like to thank all the doctors and staff at Olds Hospital in the long term

care unit for their outstanding care, and compassion.
