MacFADYEN, David

1953 – 2025

We say goodbye to a Neighbour, Friend, Cousin, Brother, Son, Husband and Loving Father. David grew up on the family farm east of Innisfail, where he found his love for horses. His oilfield career started early at seventeen years of age. With his work ethic and skills, he progressed into management positions by the age of twenty-one. David was one of the youngest Station Managers with Dowell of Canada. His career took him throughout the world living in the UAE, Scotland, United Kingdom, Netherlands, and later as a Consultant throughout other Middle Eastern Countries. On July 6, 1973, David took his fiancé Maureen Punchion back to her hometown of South Shields, England where they were married. Throughout their travels two daughters were born, Kimberly Ann and Lisa Nicole. Wherever the family lived, David ensured the girls were always involved with horses. In retirement, life brought him back to the MacFadyen family farm again where he continued to raise horses and live. David is lovingly remembered by his two daughters Kimberly Ann (Marcel) and Lisa Nicole (Tijn), grandchildren: Wesley, Maykel, Kieran, Sophie, Noah, and Isabella. He will be deeply missed by his two brothers Dan and Jack. David was predeceased by his sister-in-law Pamela, father (Hugh), mother (Winifred), and his wife Maureen (Mo).
