1956 – 2026

Mr. Forrest Roy Smith of Bowden, Alberta passed away at Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at the age of 69 years. Forrest was born in Innisfail, Alberta on November 21, 1956. He graduated Grade 12 in Provost, Alberta and later went on to work for Johns Manville in Innisfail for forty-six years. He lived in Bowden, Innisfail, and Provost. Forrest loved fishing, camping, hunting, and playing card games. He always started his day by drinking coffee and playing crib with his wife, Mary. He loved and cherished his family. Forrest will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Smith, his son, Gregory Thomas, his daughter, Kimberly Ann (Jordon), and one grandchild. He will also be deeply missed by his brother, Ronald ‘Skip’ (Gwen) Douglas, his sisters, Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Jean Fordyce, Donna May (Richard) Buckler, and Florence Lillian McKenzie. Forrest was predeceased by his father, Roy William Smith, and his mother, Mary Ann Smith, and his brother-in-law, Douglas Fordyce.
