1942 – 2025

Faith Norah Smith, formerly of Vegreville, Alberta, and later of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at the age of 83 years. Faith was born on January 25, 1942. From a young age, Faith’s greatest desire was to be a mother—a calling she fulfilled with devotion and love. She was a cherished mother to her children, Laurie (Richard), Angela (Patrick), and twin daughters Ruth (Terry) and Carol (Steve). She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and a treasured great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren. Faith was a quiet and private person who tended to keep to herself. She had a deep love for the Lord, and her faith was central to her life. She faithfully prayed for her family and others, carrying them in her heart each day. Her gentle presence, steadfast faith, and loving prayers will be remembered always. Faith will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered. Faith was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Smith, in 2021, and by her parents, Ivy May and Eric Orbell. She was also predeceased by her older brothers, Eric and Allen. She is lovingly remembered by her sister Ruth and her younger brother Norman, as well as by many nieces and nephews. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
